Launching April 21st on Kickstarter, Safe Mode: Disabled is a TTRPG game built for telling stories in the spirit of Tron and Ready Player One, drawing heavily from the emotional depth and digital duality of .hack//SIGN and Sword Art Online. Safe Mode: Disabled explores the fragile boundaries between reality and fantasy, and how shared experiences, online and off, reshape our relationships.

 

Players take on the roles of characters who exist in both a real world and a fictional realm. Gamer personas and their digital avatars are brought to life through a unique dual-playbook system. With over 30 mix and match classes, pc to pc connections mechanics, and multiple paired settings to choose from, Safe Mode: Disabled delivers the freedom to create multilayered characters and deeply immersive adventures.
